Re: Help with sim-sea vs photo-sea!

In order to display the default water, use a Blend Mask: 1. find the source image - it should be in the SBuilderX Tools\Work directory; 2. load it in the image editing software; 3. paint the land mass pure white (RGB=255,255,255); 4. paint the ocean pure black (RGB=0,0,0); 5. save the image in the s...

Re: I am still working on my little bit of Alaska.

That seems to be a mistake in cvx1111 - you should be able to exclude that shoreline, and any other, by using an exclusion polygon. For a more complete explanation, see the tutorial, Terrain Design for Flight Simulator X : http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxsd&DLID=100997 Best regards. Luis

Re: Photoreal blurries

The dread Blurries are a common problem and are due to insufficient hardware resources. For a more detailed explanation, please see this:

Re: Gravel road bug ? Editing objects problem

C'est gentil à toi, mais ce n'est pas vrai. This is the relevant entry from the file that Dick and I put together: // Roads - gravel / 1 lane / divided median [Texture.118] Name=Roads_Gravel_1_Lane_Divided_Median .... FlattenMode=flat FlattenPriority=21000 .... You will please notice that your entry...

Re: Need HELP !

Hello Frank, The "white lines" are the default Hydro Lines, i.e. shorelines or beaches. They also must excluded. As for the lines at map intersections, perhaps you could show a screenshot of that as I am not sure to what you refer. The SBuilderX Blend Mask is named "blendmask.tif" and can be found i...

Re: Need HELP !

Hello Frank, Congratulations on your progress. It looks very nice. I hope you don't mind a small comment - you can get rid of that blue tinge by a very simple procedure. Just first load your source image in any image editing program, choose Color Balance, and add a lot more yellow. Keep an image of ...

Re: Need HELP !

Hello Frank, Perhaps there is some confusion because FS X custom textures can display the water from the source image over the default FS water. First, the white areas are probably due to your not having any Google or Virtual Earth images for those areas in SBuilderX. Lacking the images, SBuilderX w...

Re: How to use rwy12 objects

Hello Borna, Excuse me for asking, but have you indicated the path to the Rwy12 folder in SBuilderX? Go to the Edit-Preferences menu and select the Object Folders tab - make sure that the path to the Rwy12 folder is correct and then try placing the objects again. sbuilderx rwy12 directory.JPG Best r...

Re: FSX Stop working after istalling SDK & SBuilderX

Neither the S.D.K. nor SBuilderX make any changes to the Flight Simulator installation. They are not the cause of your problem.

Best regards.

As nobody else has replied, I hope you don't mind if I give it a try. Your problem does not seem completely clear to me, sorry. And since I am on a dial-up modem, I have not taken a look at your screenshot, too large for me. Nonetheless, let's see: 1. You say that "What surprised me was when I show ...

Hello Alan,

SBuilderX will use the LOD=Auto value. To use a different setting, you will have to compile manually.

So, first compile with SBuilderX. Then, in the Work folder you should find the generated inf file. Change the value there and compile the project manually.

Best regards.
