Post by ray » Sat Oct 15, 2005 9:59 pm

Hi Luis -

good day -

the new srtm water bodies data is pixel oriented around the borders - therefore some smothing is required to make it usable in fs.

is it possible to smoth lines and poly of such data using scenery builder ?

tx for your time

Good Ray,

I need to have a look! Could you give me the pointer to the data?

Regards, Luis

Once the data is converted to MP format, there is at least one utility which will smooth the data, either by interpolating points, or by removing points. I can't find that utility right now, but if someone can link to it, or if I do find it, I'll post it here...

Thanks,
sg

It is extremely easy to do this using SBuilder. Select the polygon and use the Check Poly function.

Best regards.
