Creating rows of Trees or other objects

Post by scruffyduck » Sun Oct 30, 2005 3:57 pm

I wonder if there is a simple way to create a row of trees using a line or something rather than having to plant them one at a time?. I know that there is a way to do it with fences (although I have not figured that out yet)

thanks in advance

Thanks

No I don't have a problem using RWY12 objects. I have the tutoral and do not have a problem placing single objects (well not much anyway [:)]) I want to be able to place other objects on a line as well. There seems to be a greyed out option on the line dialog for objects. Also if anyone can point me in the right direction for using the replicating fences I would also appreciate that

Hello,

You can copy and paste an object! You place one tree; you copy it; you paste it; at each click a new tree is planted. It is easy and fast.

For fences see a post in this forum, few days ago, by Luiz Feliz-Tirado!

Thanks Luis

I am finding SBuilder a very good tool to work with

I am sorry I have searched for that post by Luiz Feliz-Tirado and I cannot find anything about tiling fences - do I just copy them as you describe for trees or is there some other mechanism I have missed?

Also can you tell me why there is a greyed out option for objects in the line dialog?

thanks very much

Hello Jon,

There is nothing difficult about placing a fence. Select the Object icon, choose Macros, on the Macros tab, select your fence, and in the Length zone, enter the desired length of your fence.

Best regards.

I have been wondering why I could not post an image in this forum and it came to me that Firefox may not work correctly here. So, this is another intent to see if it works right.

Yes, as I thought. Internet Explorer.

Ah

Thanks Luis - I have not used ASD macros before. Always either API or xml so I assumed that number only affected the footprint [:I] and not the actual object in the scenery

I will give it a try [:)]
