Default location for (Map) photo image tiles

Post by iangbusa » Tue Jan 20, 2015 2:24 pm

Silly question but is ..\SBuilderX313\Tools\Work (or X314) the only possible location to write BMP and TXT files for project Photo Image ("Map") files? Is this at all configurable in the .ini file?
Thanks,
ian

Good question!

Try this - place the image and corresponding text file in any directory, even on another partition or hard drive.

Then, start a new project and Add Map from File..., pointing to the location of your image. Your Map should load correctly and after saving the project, it should always open with the Map displaying.

Best regards.

I'm obviously doing something wrong now!

I had this working but now when I copy a map .bmp and .txt to a folder and then File..Add.. from disk... it always asks me Calibrate (which I do by copying lat/long from .txt file).

Any thoughts? Could it be something to do with the name of the image in the .txt file?

No, that's just an unfortunate oversight.

The calibration dialog always pops up, even if the image is accompanied by a text file with calibration data.

You can safely ignore the dialog - just cancel out of it.

Your Map will be calibrated anyway. Of course, the image and text file should share the same name.

Best regards.
