Exclude Water GPS

Post by Bavarello » Sun Mar 29, 2015 10:47 am

Hello everyone

I tried to exclude from the GPS default FSX water bodies.

By following this procedure:
Create three polygons polygons exclusion order
1) Exclude_All_Water_Polygons
2) Exclude_All_Water_Polygons_GPS
3) Exclude_All_Shorelines

In the scenario I have what I wanted; removal of the body of water. But in the GPS water body default is always visible.

Polygons are large enough to cover the area covered.
Any idea why is not working properly? I use SBX 314 64-bit Windows 7

Regards

Hello,

I'm not really sure that I understand what you mean by default - could you please explain?

In any case, the GPS Hydro polygons in FS X seem to have a bug or two.

Best regards.
Luis

I see. Thank you very much for the images - everything is very clear now.

The same thing has happened to me numerous times. As I mentioned, there are a lot of small "bugs" in the FS X code and this is one of them.

You could, of course, remove the default GPS Hydro file from the directory and create a completely new and accurate file, but that is a very large area to cover and, I think, that it never worked for me. It has been many years since I last tried this, but, if I remember correctly, new GPS Hydro poly files don't display.

Perhaps you could try for yourself and see if that solution will work for you. Good luck.

Best regards.
Luis
